The Jamison Family Gems

Through the wise counsel from Trisha’s husband Jeff (our dearly loved DO), we met and began to counsel together with his wife Trisha to help us through turbulent teen troubles in 2019. She immediately put her heart, thoughts, and time into guiding us through those first rough decisions (and many more).

Since those first emotional days, we have continued to be encouraged to consider different viewpoints and experiences, to come together and grow as spouses and parents, and learn how to gracefully see where we have room to grow as individuals. Trisha always shared meaningful personal experiences and examples to help us learn from, and she worked us through various steps and levels of learning that we were very inspired to incorporate into our choices when we were working on ourselves between appointments. She kept us accountable to ourselves, each other, and to her as our coach.

Trisha was very flexible when working with our schedules and blessed us with zoom meeting options that were successful and helpful for our large and busy family. She was always fully invested in our time together and came prepared with thoughts, inspiration, and never failed to gently ease us into those uncomfortable conversations. Those conversations lead to profound growth and appreciation for each other, and her counsel offered wasn't limited to marriage, it also included: communication, teen choices, personality habits, depression, suicide talk, runaway teen, morality struggles, intimacy wounds, teen marriages, childhood memory hurts, love languages, personality colors, and meaningful connections.

I personally especially appreciated that Trisha acknowledged her own growth along with us. She shared her emotions and prayers surrounding our personal family struggles. She helped us learn to better listen, take turns, communicate emotions, and get on each other’s map for more meaningful connections.

If any of these things resonate with you, I hope you reach out to her. The investment has been more than worth it.
